Our Shelves Are (Literally!) Full

First and foremost, thank you. The overwhelming warmth, welcome, and incredible book donations I have received from our Long Island community have completely filled my heart, and every square inch of extra storage space! I am so incredibly grateful for your generosity and your dedication to keeping physical media alive and thriving in Babylon.

To give me the space and time to carefully sort, clean, and mindfully catalog the incredible stories currently in intake, The Neverending Story is temporarily pausing all new book donations for the remainder of the summer.

I am hard at work behind the scenes organizing our inventory and transitioning into our refreshed space. I appreciate your patience and understanding more than you know!

Looking Ahead: Reopening This Fall

I plan to reopen our donation intake bins in Fall 2026. When I reopen intake, we will be launching a brand-new community donor program!

To help you prep your bookshelves in advance, here is a quick look at how the donation process will work moving forward:

  • Quality Over Quantity: I will accept gently used fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi/fantasy, children’s books, and graphic novels in good reading condition (no missing pages, heavy water damage, mold, torn covers, or broken spines).

  • The Donor Reward: As a massive thank you for supporting the independent bookstore ecosystem, every accepted donation drop-off will receive a 15% off discount voucher to use on your next book or coffee purchase in the shop.

  • What We Can't Accept: I am unfortunately unable to accept textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, or heavily damaged items.

Have a Question?

If you have a unique collection, a large estate library, or questions about a specific title, please feel free to reach out at info@neverendingbookstore.com.

Keep an eye on Instagram for the official date the donation bins reopen. Until then, happy reading, and we'll see you on the shelves!
